RAISE YOUR AWARENESS

As a PRAISE-HK Student Ambassador, you will join us to enhance public understanding on air pollution as well as to promote PRAISE-HK to help reduce personal exposure to air pollution. Through our briefing sessions and out-of-classroom trainings, you will be able to gain in-depth knowledge about air pollution and exposure management. The Program will also provide opportunities to meet subject experts, allowing you to obtain insightful information of topical issues related to air quality, smart city and sustainable development.

EXPAND YOUR NETWORK

PRAISE-HK runs a variety of engagement activities including user interface workshops, exhibition, trade shows and school talks. Student Ambassadors will have the chance to meet and work with diverse people in different occasions. It does not only give you a greater presence in the community of sustainability, but also helps you build a professional network with subject experts, like-minded people, or even life-long friends!


TASK & DUTIES

(Require a total of 15 hours of services with combination of the following activities)

The Eco Expo Asia 2018, Asia’s trusted trade fair for the green industry, will be held on the 25-28 October 2018 at AsiaWorld-Expo. With a booth exhibition, you will be representing PRAISE-HK to meet and communicate with a diverse group of local and international stakeholders to promote PRAISE-HK.

PRAISE-HK engagement team works closely with digital marketing professionals on overlooking social media outputs. Student Ambassadors could be involved in on-screen and/or off-screen video production, copy-writings and/or social media content developments.

While teachers, students and their parents are an important concern subgroup, PRAISE-HK team has been conducting school measurements as well as hosting school talks with primary and secondary schools to raise their awareness about air pollution and health risk issues. Student Ambassadors can be involved in the idea development and preparation process as well as being a speaker or facilitator of these activities.

User experience is critical for the success of a mobile app. PRAISE-HK team has been conducting UI/UX Engagement Workshops to collect feedback from concern groups of patients, professional athletes, NGOs and carers of the elderly. Student Ambassadors can offer assistance or even lead a workshop to facilitate collection of desirable user requirements.

Creativity matters more than ever in this digital age. We welcome your thoughts and creativity to promote PRAISE-HK. It could be a song, a dance, or an extended program from your own network. Tell us more what you think when we work together!


RECOGNITION

The appointment period for Student Ambassadors is from September 2018 to May 2019. A certificate will be awarded to PRAISE-HK Ambassadors who completed 15 hours of service to appreciate his/her dedication and contribution.

PRAISE-HK is supported by HSBC 150th Anniversary Charity Program.


RECRUITMENT

The Program welcomes all undergraduate and postgraduate students who are concerned about air pollution and environment issues, but best suits to those in disciplines such as environmental science and management, sustainability, civil engineering and marketing. 25 applicants will be recruited as PRAISE-HK Ambassadors.
